Venezuelans residing in Cancun recently staged a protest against the regime of Nicolás Maduro. The demonstration took place at the well-known 'El Ceviche' roundabout.
The island community has been advocating for the construction of a skatepark, which is now 40% complete. The aim of this project is to nurture new talent in the field of skating and enable them to represent Cozumel in international competitions.
The skatepark project includes a racing and speed track, as well as a designated area for artistic skating. The municipal investment for this sports facility exceeds 10 million pesos. The news was reported on August 3, 2024.
