Tourist Plunges Off Isla Mujeres Cliffs! Shocking Rescue Details

Emergency responders are transferring a person on a stretcher onto a ship at night with safety equipment visible.

A tourist staying at a beachfront hotel on Isla Mujeres suffered a serious fall from the cliffs, resulting in multiple injuries and head trauma. The incident occurred at the MIA hotel facilities just after midnight on Sunday. The guest, acting recklessly, was walking on the cliffs when he slipped and fell several meters, becoming trapped between rocks and unable to move.

The nationality of the injured tourist is unknown, and it has not been reported who was responsible for his rescue. However, it is believed that hotel staff took charge of the situation, ensuring the injured man was transported to the Community Hospital.

Due to the severity of his injuries, which included multiple contusions and head trauma, the hospital staff were unable to provide the necessary care. They called upon the support of the Ninth Naval Region to transport the seriously injured patient by sea.

A Defender type boat from ENSAR Isla Mujeres was promptly dispatched with a team of specialists on board. They transferred the injured tourist to the Advanced Naval Station (ENA) in Puerto Juárez.

Upon arrival, the man was received by paramedics and immediately transported by ambulance to the "Jesús Kumate Rodríguez" General Hospital. There, he continues to receive specialized medical care for his injuries.
