In Tulum, an adult and a teenager were arrested following the confiscation of over a hundred doses of narcotics. The pair were in the midst of trading several clear plastic bags, each filled with a green plant substance, likely marijuana, when they were intercepted by law enforcement.
Upon noticing the police, they attempted to flee on a motorcycle but were trapped at the junction of Agua Marina Street, Ruby Street, and Quartz Street in the Aldea Tulum subdivision.
During a subsequent search, law enforcement found 146 plastic bags of marijuana and 30 clear "ziploc" bags filled with white crystalline fragments, likely crystal meth. Additionally, a black and blue motorcycle registered in Mexico City, a gram scale, a black backpack, a black harness, and a white iPhone with a blue case were seized.
The adult, known as Christopher "N," was taken to the State Attorney General's Office in Playa del Carmen. The minor, identified as E.A.G.M., was transported to the specialized prosecutor's office for children and adolescents in the Benito Suarez municipality.
