The festivities kick off with a beautiful ritual in the heart of Cozumel. Mayan elders from across the country gather to prepare an offering, welcoming the Canoers who arrive at sunset. The event continues into Saturday, starting the day with meditation and beach cleaning at Punta Sur Eco Tourist Park, the largest nature reserve in Cozumel.
