Various taxi and tourist transportation groups from Cancún, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum are planning to block the primary access routes to Cancún International Airport in protest against Uber and similar digital platforms. The protest is set to commence this Saturday at 10 a.m.
The drivers intend to set up blockades on the main roads in downtown Cancún and Playa del Carmen, as well as the hotel zone. These areas all intersect with the route to Cancún International Airport.
