“Prevent Financial Losses: AMPI Urges Awareness of Unregulated Real Estate”

Patricia Mora Vallejo, President of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) Cancún, has urged local authorities to increase public awareness about unregulated real estate developments. Mora Vallejo stressed the need for citizens to be informed about these developments to prevent potential financial losses. Despite the closure of unregulated projects in Benito Juárez, she believes there is still much to be done to prevent similar situations in the future. The real estate market in Cancún has faced challenges due to speculation, particularly with the increase in infrastructure investments in the region.

Mora Vallejo underscored the importance of educating citizens to avoid purchasing land in areas where construction is prohibited, where basic services are not available, or where the necessary legal documentation is lacking. AMPI offers free consultations to those interested in investing in real estate developments, aiming to ensure the security and legality of these purchases. She also encouraged collaboration with relevant authorities, such as the Secretariat of Ecology and Urban Development of Benito Juárez, to confirm the legality of real estate projects.
