Senator Eugenio "Gino" Segura recently inaugurated the Transformation House in Playa del Carmen, the first of several planned for the north, center, and south of Quintana Roo. These facilities will provide a permanent link between the government and citizens, addressing their needs and concerns.
The Transformation Houses aim to provide citizens with a supportive environment in any situation. A team trained in citizen services will handle their requests, ensuring they are connected with the appropriate city, state, or federal department to meet their needs.
The Transformation House offers a range of services including legal and health support, donations of medicines, functional aid equipment like wheelchairs and glucometers, food pantries, and construction materials for vulnerable homes. It will also provide sports materials, tools for promoting trades, and more.
Additionally, the facility will host various activities for the public. These include workshops, awareness talks, and physical activation programs with a gender perspective. The goal is to create a healthy developmental environment for the community.
The Transformation House will be open to the public from Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00, and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 13:00. Digital media will be used to maintain constant communication with citizens for follow-ups.
The first Transformation House is located in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood, on 30th Avenue between 82nd and 84th streets. This is the same neighborhood where President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and Governor Mara Lezama recently handed out the first 1774 property titles, providing legal certainty to families who have been waiting for social justice for up to 30 years.
Senator Segura expressed his commitment to bringing the government closer to the people who need it most. He sees the opening of the Transformation House as a significant step towards social justice in the municipality of Solidaridad, and anticipates more openings in the near future. With the community's support, the construction of a better future is underway.
