Tulum, a municipality in Mexico, has unveiled a new Urban Development Plan. The plan anticipates significant population growth in regions surrounding the Maya Train station.
The plan outlines the construction of residential homes and the development of infrastructure to accommodate the increasing number of nomadic workers who engage in remote work at tourist sites.
In addition, the plan includes the construction of a 26-kilometer-long highway.
According to the plan, which was approved in a special session, Tulum's population is projected to reach 654,893 by 2050. This marks a significant increase, largely attributed to the influence of the Maya Train.
