Playa Del Carmen is set to receive 25 new garbage trucks, thanks to a 100 million pesos investment by environmental services company, Red Ambiental. These new vehicles, each with an eight-ton waste capacity, will be put into service starting this week.

The company's Board of Directors has stated that these new units will emit 50 percent less pollutants, contributing to a cleaner environment. Red Ambiental employs over 200 workers dedicated to serving the municipality of Solidaridad alone.

This announcement coincides with the launch of a major waste collection operation in Solidaridad, one of the first initiatives of the new municipal government. The municipality has committed to maintaining a clean environment as a top priority, with a focus on community needs.

The new garbage collection service aims to be efficient, quick, and transparent. It will be supplemented by a vigorous public awareness campaign promoting recycling. The campaign underscores the importance of recycling in preserving the environment in Solidaridad.
