2024 “Flavors of Mexico” Festival to Showcase Mexican Caribbean in Paris

The details of the 2024 "Flavors of Mexico" Festival, set to take place in Paris, France, have been announced by local restaurateurs. The announcement was made at a press conference held at the renowned Boquinete Seafood & Grill Restaurant in Puerto Morelos.

The festival's organizer, Chef Luis Sánchez, shared that the event will run from October 31 to November 2, and will showcase the Mexican Caribbean and the flavors of Mexico. Nicolás Jiménez Roldan, a business partner and key promoter of Mexican cuisine in France, explained that the Paris – Mexico Association has been promoting Mexico and its cuisine for 30 years. He noted that Mexican gastronomy has gained significant importance, particularly in a country like France where gastronomy is globally recognized.

Roldan emphasized the need to continue showcasing the culinary art of the Mexican Caribbean. He noted that it's an opportune time to further project Mexican gastronomy, starting with the Mexican Caribbean, which has recently developed exquisite dishes.

The festival is expected to attract between 4,000 and 5,000 visitors over two days. Among the attendees will be France's Mexican ambassador, Dra. Blanca Jiménez Cisneros, and members of the Franco-Mexican economic chamber.

Representative from the Puerto Morelos Town Hall, Raúl Guadarrama, expressed his support for the chefs organizing the festival. He commended their efforts in promoting local cuisine and the destination, noting their recent success in Canada.

Chef Arianna Morales expressed confidence that the gastronomy of the Mexican Caribbean will be well-represented at the festival. She shared her belief that the experience in France will be wonderful, based on their recent success in Canada.

Chef Marcy Bezaleel highlighted that France is a world-class tourist destination and a significant contributor to Mexico's economy. She expressed gratitude for the support of commercial partners and sponsors, and emphasized the importance of showcasing Mexican brands at an international level.

The 2024 "Flavors of Mexico" Festival in Paris will also feature handicrafts from the municipality of Puerto Morelos and artisans from Querétaro, further promoting the art and culture of Mexico to a global audience.
