The Prosecutor's Office of Quintana Roo has reported a possible connection between a recent murder on a Cancun beach and the killing of a minor at the same location in July.

The victim, who was killed at the Riu Palace Hotel beach, is suspected to have been involved in the child's murder earlier this year. The Prosecutor's Office stated, "Investigations into the homicide, which took place on Wednesday morning on a beach area in Kukulcán Boulevard, link the deceased to the incident where a minor was killed by a firearm projectile, near the same location, on July 28 of this year."

The deceased individual is believed to have driven the jet ski from which he and another person arrived, fired a weapon, and then fled the scene.

Two other individuals, also linked to this case, are suspected of killing two people on a bus traveling on Kukulcán Boulevard on July 1. An investigation has been opened to locate these two suspects, who are believed to have committed a direct attack, with one of them shooting the victim.

The Quintana Roo Prosecutor's Office has highlighted that their primary line of investigation is related to retail drug trafficking crimes.
