Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena recently inaugurated the 23rd annual Yucatan Housing Expo. This event stands as a testament to the current state and future potential of Yucatan, showcasing the dedication to fostering comprehensive well-being for the families of the state.
Díaz Mena, joined by Sergei López Cantón, the president of the National Chamber of the Housing Development and Promotion Industry in Yucatan, emphasized the necessity of creating housing projects that are not only dignified and affordable, but also contribute to the sustainable growth of Yucatan. "This event embodies our vision for how our families should live and how we can build a better future through housing," Díaz Mena stated.
The Governor reiterated his commitment to the people of Yucatan, underscoring that development should reach every corner of the state, and include the essential services needed for family well-being.
Díaz Mena also reminded attendees of his campaign promise to construct 10,000 social houses that are safe, well-designed, and accessible to all Yucatecan families, reinforcing his aim to enhance the quality of life for the region's population.
Following the event, Díaz Mena and his wife, Wendy Méndez Naal, visited the Rehabilitation and Special Education Center (CREE). They acknowledged the center's crucial role in promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities and restated the government's mission to foster a more inclusive and accessible society for all. Each year, the center provides physical, occupational, and language rehabilitation therapies to approximately 6,300 individuals with disabilities.
