The Maya Train service between Campeche and Cancún has been temporarily suspended as a safety precaution due to the imminent arrival of Hurricane Milton.
The decision to halt service was made to ensure the safety of passengers and staff. The Emergency Monitoring and Operations Center, based at the Maya Train's General Directorate in Mérida, Yucatán, has been activated to coordinate safety measures and monitor the impact of the hurricane.
Key measures include the temporary suspension of service on the route between Cancún Airport and San Francisco de Campeche. Trains operating on the Playa del Carmen – Mérida-Teya route will terminate their journeys at Cancún Airport station.
Passengers affected by these changes can request alterations to their travel plans by emailing info@ventaboletostrenmaya.com.mx with their reservation and ticket details.
The Maya Train has reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality service and plans to resume operations as soon as it is safe to do so. They have expressed gratitude for the understanding and patience of their passengers during this uncontrollable event. Passengers are encouraged to stay updated via the Maya Train's social media channels and to heed the advice of the Civil Protection and National Meteorological Service.
