The inaugural "Come and Get Employed" job fair, hosted by the newly established municipal government of Benito Juárez, saw participation from approximately 40 companies across various sectors. They collectively offered over 2,000 job vacancies.

Enrique Morales Pardo, head of the Economic Development Department, noted that the fair included a diverse range of businesses. Participants ranged from gas stations, retail stores, and security firms to restaurants, construction companies, and hotels.

The "Come and Get Employed" program, championed by President Ana Patricia Peralta, is scheduled to take place twice a month. The first edition of the program under the new administration featured 40 companies offering 2,058 job vacancies.

The department has specialized staff on-hand to assist and guide job-seekers at the fair. The program is inclusive, welcoming applicants aged 18 to 60, including young people, men, women, and individuals with disabilities. The aim is to offer employment opportunities to a broad demographic, enabling them to generate income.

Morales Pardo also highlighted that the municipality of Benito Juárez has a growing economy, which has resulted in thousands of job vacancies that need to be filled.

Marcos Basilio Saldivar, councilman presiding over the Commission of Social Development, Citizen Participation and Human Rights, emphasized the importance of the "Come and Get Employed" program for the economic development of the region. It is also part of the strategy to reduce persistent inequality gaps.

He added that the program not only involves companies but also government departments. For instance, the State Attorney General's Office, which issues crime-free certificates, and the State Institute for Youth and Adult Education, which provides primary and secondary school certificates, were present at the fair.

Saldivar encouraged citizens to attend future editions of the program, which will be held in various locations across the region, including the upcoming one at "El Crucero" park.
