Hotel Xcaret México is set to undergo a significant transformation with a $700 million investment, creating over 1,500 new jobs. The expansion project includes new infrastructure and a multigenerational approach to provide extraordinary experiences for visitors of all ages.

The Quintana Roo government has been actively promoting tourism both nationally and internationally under the leadership of Mara Lezama. This strategy aims to benefit local residents who rely on the tourism industry and attract more visitors from around the world, leading to a significant economic impact.

In 2024, Quintana Roo saw several private sector investments totaling $1.7 billion, with Grupo Xcaret being the latest addition. The company's investment in a new hotel was announced during the Cancun Travel Mart, attended by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa and Federal Secretary of Tourism Josefina Rodríguez Zamora.

Grupo Xcaret's $700 million investment in the new phase of Hotel Xcaret México will generate around 1,600 direct job opportunities. The project includes 1,800 rooms spread across 10 buildings, each inspired by prominent Mayan symbols. The hotel will feature 16 swimming pools, including 4 located on upper floors, and 5 slides designed for family entertainment.

This initiative reflects a growing confidence in Quintana Roo's tourism sector and Mexico in general, with private investments playing a crucial role in driving growth and creating job opportunities.
