PGA Riviera Maya Championship Added to 2025 Korn Ferry Tour!

The PGA TOUR has announced the addition of the PGA Riviera Maya Championship to the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour season. The championship is set to take place from May 1 to 4, 2025, marking its first appearance on the esteemed circuit schedule.

The event will be hosted at the PGA Riviera Maya facilities, situated within the Tulum Country Club, a mere 24 kilometers from Tulum, one of Mexico's most internationally recognized destinations. The championship is confirmed to remain on the Korn Ferry Tour calendar at least until 2027.

PGA Riviera Maya has been the venue for several PGA TOUR-sanctioned tournaments in recent years, including the Bupa Championship at Tulum in 2024. This event marked the inaugural season of the PGA TOUR Americas last March.

The PGA Riviera Maya Championship will be the seventh and final international event of the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour season. This addition strengthens Mexico's status as a significant destination in the growth of professional golf in Latin America.

Alex Baldwin, president of the Korn Ferry Tour, expressed his excitement about welcoming PGA Riviera Maya to the Korn Ferry Tour family. He praised the venue's successful seasons as part of the PGA TOUR Americas and PGA TOUR Latinoamérica and expressed confidence in its continued success.

Sergio Gonzalez, Golf Course Director of PGA Riviera Maya, expressed his gratitude for the recognition from the PGA TOUR and the Korn Ferry Tour. He stated that their course is designed to challenge the world's best players and is looking forward to seeing how Korn Ferry Tour members tackle this unique challenge.

The 2025 Korn Ferry Tour season will comprise 26 tournaments, with a strong presence in Latin America. It will feature five events in the region, including stops in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Panama. The PGA Riviera Maya Championship will conclude the international tour before the Tour returns to the United States to finish the season.
