Quintana Roo will be participating in the Sabores de México Gastronomic Festival in Paris, France, on November 1st and 2nd this year. The festival is part of the Day of the Dead celebrations and will showcase a range of dishes from Quintana Roo and the rest of Mexico.
The Quintana Roo Tourism Department (Sedetur) announced the participation through their social media platforms. They expressed their readiness to introduce the unique flavors of Mexican cuisine to the French audience.
The department stated, “Mexican cuisine is ready to conquer France and share the essence of our traditions. With the support of the Gastronomy Promotion Committee, the authentic flavors of Mexico will cross borders to showcase our culinary richness. From the most traditional dishes to the most innovative creations, each bite will tell a story of our roots and diversity.”
Sedetur also described the experience as "a journey of flavors that promises to enchant and leave a mark on the international culinary scene."
Festival Activities in Paris
As part of the Sabores de México Gastronomic Festival, chefs from all over Mexico, including Quintana Roo, will be involved in various activities. These include conferences, tastings, book presentations, and more, all of which will be open to the public in Paris, France.
Among the participating chefs from Quintana Roo is Marcy Bezaleel Pacheco, known for her expertise in Caribbean and corn-based cuisine.
Events like this, taking place on November 1st and 2nd in Paris, help to spread Mexican culture and traditions. In this case, it's the diverse and delectable regional and national cuisine that's in the spotlight.
It's worth noting that Quintana Roo has been establishing itself as a gastronomic destination. In fact, 13 of its restaurants have been featured in the Michelin Guide.
