Over 200 participants across various categories, including male, female, and family, took part in 2.8 km and 5 km races in Puerto Morelos. These races were organized by the Comprehensive Family Development System (DIF) and the Vidanta Hotel to support breast cancer prevention. The event marked the end of the Pink Month, a month dedicated to raising awareness and promoting prevention of breast cancer.

The races took place at Founders Park, where athletes and families gathered early in the morning, donning pink and blue shirts with their participant numbers. Before the race began, the honorary president of the DIF, Juanita Chacón Canché, thanked the participants for their support. She emphasized that each step taken during the race symbolized determination and solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.

The race kicked off with a breathtaking view of the beach from Ventana al Mar. The male category led the race, followed by the female category, and then families. Prizes were awarded to the top three finishers in each category.

In the family category for the 2.8 km race, Jhonatan Solano and Javier García took first place, followed by Rogelio Ambriz, Anaberta Soto, Rogelio, and Rebeca Soto in second place, and Enrique Trejo and Brisa Sánchez in third place.

In the 5 km race, Máxime Van Lo won the male category, finishing in 22 minutes and 11 seconds. Diego de la Peña and Natanael Acosta Antonio came in second and third, respectively. In the female category, Mariana Gutiérrez took the top spot, with Belén Fuentes and Dalila García coming in second and third, respectively.

Each winner received a participant medal, a Vidanta thermos kit, and a backpack, as well as a double pass to the Circus Du Soleil and a family pass to Jungala Park. Additionally, a symbolic check for over 28 thousand pesos was presented to Patricia Suárez and Adriana López, two women battling breast cancer. Elías Fuentes, the Development Director of Grupo Vidanta, expressed gratitude to the local authorities for allowing them to contribute to this cause through sports and physical activity.
