Cancún has opened its doors to the 2nd Feria de Queso de Bola, an event that celebrates this traditional ingredient and its many culinary uses. Supported by the Benito Juarez Municipality, the fair encourages healthy family interactions and supports local businesses and entrepreneurs.

Located in and around the Parque de las Palapas, the fair offers a variety of gastronomic delights from multiple exhibitors. From 4:00 p.m., stalls start serving a wide range of dishes, snacks, desserts, and even beverages featuring cheese balls. This cheese, popular in Northern Europe, has also found its place in the cuisine of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Visitors can indulge in a variety of delicacies such as marquesitas, tacos, hamburgers, frappes, ice creams, empanadas, quesadillas, tamales, puff pastries, pastries, kibis, esquites, and even rompope, all with a unique touch of cheese ball flavor.

Adding to the culinary experience, restaurants and commercial establishments on Avenida Yaxchilan have joined the event. They offer dishes featuring Queso de Bola and host a free musical festival, “Pescafest”, on Sunday the 17th. The festival takes place on the road between Sunyaxchén and Cobá, marking the 22nd anniversary of the restaurant “Pescaditos”.

The fair also offers a vibrant cultural experience. The main stage at Parque de las Palapas hosts a program of dances and musical presentations by local dance and music groups. This provides the perfect backdrop for both children and adults to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon.
