The Cozumel Parks and Museums Foundation (FPMC) is inviting the public to the opening of the art exhibition "Memories of Cozumel" by Adriana Delfín. The event is scheduled for Friday, January 24, at 8:00 p.m. at the Island Museum, and admission is free.

The exhibition features 15 pieces that celebrate the urban art movement of Cozumel. Delfín's work captures the essence of the murals that adorn the city's walls and fences, particularly in the downtown area. The pieces include contributions from both local and international artists who participated in events such as the 2019 "Sea Walls: Artists for Oceans" festival, creating a vibrant dialogue between diverse styles and perspectives.

Adriana Delfín, a Mexico City native and Visual Arts graduate from UNAM’s Faculty of Arts and Design, has an impressive career with more than 20 group exhibitions and seven solo ones across the country. While her primary focus is on painting, murals, drawing, and object art, she has also ventured into set design for cinema and theatre. Her passion for art was evident from a young age, with her first group exhibition at the age of 10.

The "Memories of Cozumel" exhibition also includes four works from her "Trayectos" collection, a series of images captured from moving vehicles on mobile phones in Mexico City. These scenes were transferred onto car registrations in oil, showcasing the artist's ability to transform everyday objects into meaningful canvases.

The FPMC applauds this initiative that showcases the talent and creativity found in Cozumel, and encourages everyone to enjoy an evening dedicated to art and culture.
