The state of Quintana Roo has announced a temporary ban on alcohol sales across the region on June 1 and 2. This decision is in response to the upcoming electoral process taking place nationwide.

From 12:01 AM on Saturday, June 1, until 11:59 PM on Sunday, June 2, the sale of alcoholic beverages will be halted throughout the state. However, stores located in tourist areas with appropriate licenses will be exempt from this rule.

This measure, rooted in the Law of Institutions and Electoral Procedures, is designed to ensure a transparent and peaceful electoral process.
