The Attorney General's Office of Quintana Roo has announced the recovery of approximately 8.9 million pesos through the use of Alternative Justice mechanisms in November. This sum was collected as compensation for material and accumulated damages resulting from various crimes, and was allocated to the victims.

In November, the Quintana Roo justice department was successful in recovering 8,995,113.89 pesos for crime victims through the use of Alternative Justice. This amount underlines the commitment to expedite conflict resolution and ensure fair compensation for those affected.

The Alternative Justice Center, a branch of the Attorney General's Office, managed 335 investigation files for crimes including culpable damages, intentional and culpable injuries, threats, robbery, and fraud. Out of these, 238 were resolved through reparatory agreements: 137 immediately and 101 through deferred processes.

In total, the center served 2,068 users and concluded 269 processes in November, while another 563 remain in process. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of alternative methods in speeding up criminal justice and reducing judicial workload.

Among the main files resolved were 88 cases of culpable damages, 38 cases of culpable injuries, 28 cases of intentional injuries, 16 cases of threats, 11 cases of various forms of theft, and 10 cases of failure to fulfill family obligations. Other cases included abuse of trust, fraud, and damages combined with injuries.

These agreements facilitated financial compensation for victims without the need for lengthy judicial processes, promoting a more efficient and less contentious resolution. According to the Attorney General's Office, this strategy not only benefits the victims but also alleviates pressure on the penal system.

The results obtained in November are a testament to the success of alternative dispute resolution methods. The Attorney General's Office remains committed to delivering efficient justice that meets the needs of the victims.
