Ana Paty Peralta, the Municipal President, is championing the work of local artisans in Benito Juarez. The initiative aims to highlight the unique craftsmanship that is a source of pride in Cancun and showcases the beautiful handcrafted pieces to both residents and tourists. This year, the "Women Who Create" program has been held 20 times, benefiting 200 artisans and attracting nearly 6,000 attendees.

In Cancun, culture and art are seen as essential for children's development and the preservation of Mexican traditions and identity. The "Women Who Create" events aim to foster community engagement and equal opportunities by providing a platform for artisans to sell their products.

The Municipal Welfare Secretary has also been actively supporting local artisans by organizing exhibitions and events. These initiatives have reached 745 potential customers interested in purchasing crafts. Additionally, the “They Invoice” project is promoting financial inclusion for women artisans by providing training, marketing events, financing, and specialized mentorship.
