In Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, a new initiative has been launched aimed at preventing violence against women. The Municipal Government, in conjunction with the General Directorate of Citizen Security and Traffic, has set up an information module and distributed informative flyers titled "Prevention of violence towards women".
The module has been established at the Community Center of the Continental Zone. The goal is to reach as many women as possible, educating them about the signs of violence and abuse.
In addition to the distribution of flyers, the module also provides information about the Specialized Group in Attention to Gender Violence (GEAVIG). This group plays a vital role in addressing and preventing gender-based violence, and the module aims to raise awareness about their work.
