The Argentine band Caligaris is set to return to the Mexican Caribbean, promising a night of fun, joy, and fresh music.
The Stoa Auditorium in Cancún will host the band this Thursday, November 28th. This marks a long-awaited return for Caligaris, who last performed in the city back in 2012. Guitarist Mariano Baigorria expressed his excitement about the upcoming show. "We're thrilled to be coming back to Cancún. We've had some great shows here in the past, and we're eager to see how the audience will receive us this time around," he said.
Baigorria went on to explain how the band values the interaction with their audience. "Every show is a unique experience. The audience always brings something unexpected, sharing their stories and letting us know how our music has touched their lives. It's incredibly moving," he added.
The band plans to arrive a few days early to soak up the local atmosphere, hoping to channel the energy of Cancún into their performance. Baigorria added, "Cancún is a beautiful place, but it's the people that make it truly special. We always look forward to the warm sun, beautiful beaches, and fantastic audience every time we visit."
Caligaris takes great care in curating their setlist, aiming to deliver a performance that mirrors the love they receive from their fans. They strive to create a show that's as close to perfection as possible.
Formed in 1997, Caligaris has enjoyed a successful 27-year career. The band prides itself on its ability to adapt and innovate while maintaining the distinctive intensity of their lyrics. "We often see multiple generations at our concerts, all singing along to our songs. It's incredibly rewarding," Baigorria shared.
Recently, the band released a new song, "Tu infeliz", in collaboration with Argentine cumbia star, Karina. The band is excited to perform this new track, complete with a dance routine, at their upcoming Cancún show.
Baigorria concluded with an invitation to the show, "We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the music. Feel free to dress up, put on a wig, or wear makeup. Anything that helps you enjoy the show is welcome. Tickets are available at arema.mx. We can't wait to see you there!"
