In Cozumel, Q. Roo, on November 17, the "Let's End Polio" race of 2024 successfully brought together 300 athletes. This event was organized by the Rotary Club of Cozumel to support the global fight against polio.
The race, which included 2.5K and 5K distances, was made possible through the combined efforts of sponsors, participants, and volunteers, as well as the Rotary family. The organizers expressed their gratitude to everyone involved.
The event was held in support of Rotary International and Rotary Clubs around the world. These organizations are working tirelessly to administer vaccines with the ultimate goal of eradicating polio globally.
Landy Bobadilla, President of the Rotary D4195 Mexico Polio Plus District Committee, was present at the event. The proceeds from the race were symbolically presented to her, and will be used to fund vaccines, bringing us one step closer to a polio-free world.
