Over 15,000 people filled the 28th of July square for a free concert by Banda El Recodo de Cruz Lizarraga. This event was hosted by the Municipality of Solidaridad, aiming to promote local traditions and culture, and to showcase the municipality as a top tourist destination in Mexico and globally.
The Secretary General of the Municipality, Cecilio Puc, represented the municipal president Lili Campos. He highlighted the transformation of the area, stating, “This location, once a chiclero village, now hosts world-renowned events like the Carmen Fair. This event is designed for everyone to enjoy."
Banda El Recodo, often referred to as the mother of all bands, had everyone singing and dancing enthusiastically to their hit songs. These included "El quelite", "Cada vez te extraño más", "Acá entre nos" "Te presumo", "Me gusta todo de ti", "Mi vicio más grande", "Entonces que somos", "Vas a llorar por mi", and many others. As part of the festivities honoring the Virgin of Carmen, around a hundred members of the Women's Guild participated in a procession spanning more than two kilometers.
At the fairgrounds, attendees were entertained by comedian Ruperta Pérez Sosa. Her family-friendly comedy show filled the atmosphere with laughter and joy, providing an evening of clean humor that made for an unforgettable experience.
