BBVA Mexico has approved a loan exceeding $26 million to Protexa, a company based in Regiomontana, for the renovation of Hotel Casa Maya in Cancun. This initiative is expected to boost tourism in the Mexican Caribbean region.
The renovation plan includes updating materials, equipment, and devices to be more environmentally friendly. These improvements aim to enhance energy efficiency and encourage the better use of natural resources.
Hotel Casa Maya, a landmark hotel in Cancun, has been serving guests since the early 1980s and boasts over 325 rooms. The grand reopening of the newly renovated Hotel Casa Maya is slated for December 2024.
