Innovative Biodiesel Project Wins Sustainable Impact Challenge

The SARGAS team, who developed a project to produce biodiesel from sargassum, has been awarded first place in the 4th Sustainable Impact Initiatives Challenge. The award was given by the Nicolás Mariscal Torroella Chair for Building for the Common Good and Sustainable Development during a ceremony at the Ibero-American University.

The SARGAS team was not only recognized for their innovative project, but they were also encouraged to continue their work and turn their concept into a reality. Among the attendees were several partners, including Mónica Maccise Duayhe, the General Director of University Linkage at IBERO.

The contributions of the EPLE, Ecoart, and Lusos teams were also recognized during the event.
