President’s Son “Bobby” Leads Major Gov’t Projects

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador confirmed on Friday that his son, Gonzalo, also known as "Bobby", is involved in various government projects. During a morning conference, the president stated that "Bobby" López Beltrán is participating in the development of the Interoceanic Corridor, a project led by the federal government.

The Interoceanic Corridor is a major construction project in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, aimed at developing regions of Oaxaca, Veracruz, and Tabasco. The president revealed that his son has been assisting with the project on an honorary basis, without receiving any payment.

The president's statement was made in reference to a recent meeting between his son and the newly elected president, Claudia Sheinbaum. The Interoceanic Corridor is one of the federal government's priority projects, focusing on the rehabilitation of train tracks to boost passenger and freight transportation between the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.

The president's comments align with statements made by Amílcar Olán, a close friend of "Bobby" and Andy López Beltrán. In one of their conversations, Olán claimed that President López Obrador had tasked "Bobby" with overseeing all projects involving train tracks, including the Interoceanic Corridor.
