PUERTO AVENTURAS – The woman found murdered last night in a green area of the Puerto Maya subdivision of Puerto Aventuras, has been identified. The State Attorney General’s Office reported her identity and announced the arrest of her alleged aggressor, Fredy M. They had both gone to ask for a job at the same hotel in the Riviera Maya.
The man had come to this hotel on the same day as his victim.
Through a recorded message, prosecutor Oscar Montes de Oca pointed out that the victim, a woman from Campeche, went to a hotel in the Riviera Maya on August 25 to deliver documents as part of her hiring process. From there, she returned to her home, in the Puerto Maya subdivision, but never arrived.
Her disappearance was reported by her relatives in Tulum on August 27 and the Prosecutor’s Office issued the respective “Alba Alert”.
It was not until last night that her lifeless body appeared, in a hole covered with rocks, in a green area of Puerto Maya.
