Missing Nurse Found Dead in Nicolás Bravo

Quintana Roo, Mexico — Ramiro Cáceres López, a 30-year-old nurse employed at the ISSSTE clinic in Chetumal, was found dead on the morning of April 18, 2025, in the town of Nicolás Bravo. Cáceres had been reported missing since April 13.

Details of the Discovery

According to the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), the victim’s body showed a gunshot wound and was discovered near Nicolás Bravo, where his abandoned vehicle had been located days earlier. Authorities also detained a suspect identified as Clemente "N," who is allegedly connected to the killing.

Investigation Underway

The FGE confirmed that an active investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances of Cáceres’ death and identify all responsible parties. His body was transported to the Forensic Medical Service in Chetumal’s Solidaridad neighborhood for further examination. Family members arrived to formally identify him.

Timeline of Disappearance

Cáceres was last seen on the evening of April 13 while traveling to his hometown. His cellphone signal was traced to the outskirts of Nicolás Bravo, en route to Escárcega. Later that night, his vehicle was found burned in a nearby jurisdiction.

The case has drawn attention as authorities work to uncover the motive behind the killing. No further details regarding the suspect or potential charges have been released.
