More than 90% of public servants in Cancún have completed their annual declarations. This information was announced by Municipal Comptroller Virginia Guadalupe Poot Vega. She noted that only 3% of public servants from Benito Juárez have yet to submit their Annual Modification and Interest Declaration, but they still have one week left to do so.
Despite initial technical difficulties on the website where they were required to upload their declarations, there was a strong response from the public servants to meet this obligation. The system was reportedly saturated during the first few days due to high traffic.
Around 200 public servants still need to fulfill this requirement. The Municipal Comptroller's office will wait 15 more days before starting to send reminders. Non-compliance could result in sanctions, including warnings, fines, or even suspension or termination for repeat offenders.
It's worth noting that the submission period for the Annual Modification and Interest Declaration began on May 1st of this year. All 7,000 public servants across various levels were required to submit their declarations via the website declaraciones.cancun.gob.mx. To facilitate the process, measures such as advice and equipment support were provided.
