A fatal bus accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday. The bus, part of the Acosta line and originating from Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, experienced a severe incident in the community of Emiliano Zapata, Tabasco. The accident resulted in multiple fatalities, with only 10 survivors.
The survivors of the Acosta bus, which was transporting passengers from Cancun and Playa del Carmen to Tabasco, include 31-year-olds Jesús Alfonso Ramírez López and Raymundo Hipólito González. A young man named Jhorsan and a child, whose family has been located, also survived the accident.
Initial reports indicate that the bus was en route to Tabasco when it crashed on a road section in Emiliano Zapata. The collision's impact was so severe that several passengers were unable to exit the vehicle and died at the scene. Some fatalities were due to a fire that engulfed the bus following the collision.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene to manage the situation and transport the survivors to nearby hospitals. As of yet, the authorities have not released an official victim count or identified the accident's causes.
The community, especially those in Playa del Carmen where the bus originated, awaits an official statement with further details about this tragic incident.
