Outrage at Cancún Airport Pizzeria’s Price Scam

The Famous Famiglia Pizzeria, located in Cancún International Airport, is facing criticism for its high prices. The pizzeria has been the subject of numerous online complaints and negative reviews, with some customers even labeling it a scam. The outrage stems from the high cost of both individual pizza slices and whole pizzas. Customers claim that they are often charged in dollars for items advertised in pesos.

According to social media users, the prices in Mexican pesos are as follows:

  • Hawaiian pizza: 236 pesos per slice, 972 pesos for a whole pizza
  • Famiglia special: 236 pesos per slice, 972 pesos for a whole pizza
  • Meat Lovers/cold meats: 236 pesos per slice, 972 pesos for a whole pizza
  • Chicken: 236 pesos per slice, 972 pesos for a whole pizza
  • Cheese: 198 pesos per slice, 812 pesos for a whole pizza
  • Pepperoni: 198 pesos per slice, 812 pesos for a whole pizza
  • Pepperoni & sausage: 198 pesos per slice, 812 pesos for a whole pizza
  • Pepperoni & mushrooms: 198 pesos per slice, 812 pesos for a whole pizza

Even non-pizza items, such as sandwiches, are priced well above 400 Mexican Pesos.

In addition to the pricing issues, customers have also expressed dissatisfaction with the service at Famous Famiglia Pizzeria. Google reviews reveal complaints about poor service and allegations of employees adding excessive tips to customers' bills without their knowledge or consent.
