Two individuals suspected of a fatal shooting involving a 12-year-old boy on a Cancún beach have been apprehended, according to the Attorney General's Office. The suspects, known as Julio César "La Bomba" and Bryan Jair "El Frijol", are believed to be involved in extortion and drug trafficking in the region.

The fatal incident occurred on July 28th at a beach near the Riu hotel, where the two rival gang members confronted each other. The young victim, Santiago, was vacationing with his family at the time.

Four men arrived at the beach on two jet skis, where another confrontation ensued. In the ensuing violence, a minor was caught in the crossfire and tragically lost his life. The incident occurred around 14:30 hours, with the suspects reportedly firing their weapons in an area crowded with tourists. Santiago was struck in the stomach while in the sunbed area.

Both Julio César "La Bomba" and Bryan Jair "El Frijol" had previously clashed on a bus on July 1st, resulting in the death of a hitman and an innocent female passenger. Two additional suspects, José Andrés "N" and Luis Ángel "N", were also arrested for drug possession.

All four detainees, along with the collected evidence, have been handed over to the Public Prosecutor. They are being investigated for potential involvement in a range of crimes, including qualified homicide, extortion, and drug trafficking. Their legal status will be determined within the established constitutional term.
