Giovanni Solazzi, Vice President of Cancún FC in the Liga Expansión MX, has expressed his disappointment over the lack of action taken in a recent racism incident. The incident involved a group of Correcaminos de Tamaulipas fans who allegedly directed racist comments towards Cancún FC player, Junior Moriera, during a match at the Campo Marte stadium.

Unfortunately, due to the absence of a referee's report or video evidence, the offensive behavior was not officially recorded or punished.

Solazzi voiced his dissatisfaction during a press conference regarding the league's Disciplinary Commission's decision not to investigate further. Despite the lack of tangible evidence, Solazzi maintains that the discriminatory behavior was evident and significant to Cancún FC.

He had hoped for a more comprehensive investigation from the league, to demonstrate that such behavior is not reflective of the values upheld in Mexican football.
