The event also provided free daycare services for parents, as well as legal and labor advisory services. Other organizations, including IEEJA, INFONAVIT, Youth Building the Future (JCF), FinaBien, SESA, Quintana Roo Youth Institute (IQJ), Labor Conciliation Center (CCL), IMSS Welfare, and SEMUJERES, were also present to offer guidance and support.
During the opening event, Claudio Frausto Lara, head of the National Employment Service, reaffirmed the agency's commitment to gender equality. He acknowledged the ongoing challenges women face in the workplace and emphasized the importance of equal pay for equal work. He also thanked the participating companies for their commitment to gender equality. Nationwide, similar events have been held, with over 2,000 companies offering more than 30,000 vacancies to over 29,000 individuals.
Verónica Salinas Mozo, officer in charge of the Quintana Roo Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, announced that in honor of Women's Month, the "Empower Yourself, Woman" job fair was held with participation from over 95 companies offering a total of 3,498 vacancies across three locations—Chetumal, Playa del Carmen, and Cancún. Of these, 2,212 were specifically designated for women seeking employment.
Following the opening ceremony, Governor Mara Lezama, along with other local officials, toured the job fair, demonstrating the government's commitment to supporting women's employment and empowerment in Quintana Roo.
