In a bid to foster family unity and uphold Mexican customs, Berenice Sosa Osorio, the head of the Municipal Welfare Department, represented Mayor Ana Paty Peralta in leading "The Largest Rosca" event. The gathering took place at the iconic Malecon Tajamar, attracting dozens of families who indulged in the traditional bread and savored hot chocolate.

In a conversation, Sosa Osorio shared her delight at the community's positive response, saying, "We are thrilled with the response from our citizens; this is the Cancun that brings us together. This tradition is here to stay and promote family unity." The event was well-received by both locals and visitors, underlining the significance of such gatherings in strengthening bonds of love and friendship.

Sosa Osorio also invited all children to join the Three Kings Day celebration on Thursday, January 9 at the Bullring Plaza at 5:00 p.m. The event will feature the Children's Queen, "Tatiana", and include games, rosca, and surprises, free of charge. Furthermore, on Saturday, January 11, the Tenochtitlan Elementary School will host a joyous event for families. This initiative is set to reach 100 communities in Quintana Roo, thanks to Mayor Mara Lezama's efforts.

The event concluded with the ceremonial cutting of "The Largest Rosca", which was shared among attendees of all ages. The rosca, a symbol of the arrival of the Three Wise Men—Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar—is a significant tradition in Mexico. It marks the end of the Christmas season and represents family unity on this special occasion.
