Drug Bust in Cancun Hotel Zone: Shocking Arrest of Three Suspects

During a routine patrol, officers from the Secretariat of Citizen Security noticed a suspicious vehicle parked near three individuals. They appeared to be exchanging clear plastic bags filled with a green, plant-like substance resembling marijuana.

The event took place at kilometer 9.7 on Kukulkan Boulevard, directly across from Caracol Plaza. Upon seeing the officers, the individuals attempted to escape by getting into the parked vehicle. However, they were quickly intercepted and their vehicle was searched.

The search resulted in the confiscation of 225 clear plastic bags filled with a substance resembling marijuana, and 43 bags marked with red smiley faces containing fragments of a crystalline substance similar to crystal meth.

Officers also seized a black "Pietro Beretta" handgun, a silver and black "Taurus Armas Made in Brazil" handgun, two magazines, and 20 golden 9mm cartridges. A black Nissan Versa with Quintana Roo license plates, two blue Samsung cell phones, a black Samsung cell phone, a blue cloth bag labeled "YZA", and two black fanny packs were also secured.

The three suspects, identified only as Jorge "N", Miguel "N", and Carlos "N", were taken into custody. They were transferred to the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in Combat Against Drug Dealing for further processing.
