Son witnesses mother’s tragic murder in Cancún

A young boy witnessed a horrifying event as his mother was shot by armed assailants in their home.

The boy described the chilling moments leading up to the tragedy, "She made my egg and then they killed her." The incident occurred in the La Roca neighborhood, located in the 243rd superblock of Cancún.

Just after five in the afternoon, a distress call was made to 911, reporting a woman with a gunshot wound at the mentioned location. The victim was hastily transported to the general hospital via a mototaxi.

Family members who arrived at the scene identified the woman as a housewife. The young boy revealed that they were at home and his mother had just made him lunch. Shortly after she stepped outside, he heard gunshots and saw two individuals on a motorcycle speeding away from their home.

Hospital staff later reported that the woman had succumbed to her injuries, showing no vital signs upon arrival. Local municipal and ministerial authorities have since visited the hospital to gather information and initiate the necessary investigations.
