As the peak holiday season approaches, the Inspection Department in Benito Juárez, Cancún, is set to launch an operation starting March 13. The operation will focus on inspecting bars and nightclubs, with a particular emphasis on preventing minors from entering and ensuring compliance with operating hours.
In the hotel zone, home to the largest number of nightclubs, establishments are permitted to operate for up to four hours. To strengthen oversight, eight permanent inspectors will be assigned to monitor approximately 20 venues. This includes those located in the area known as Party Center.
The operation will also extend to beach clubs and other consumer centers. The goal is to ensure a safe environment for both tourists and residents. This initiative coincides with the spring break season and the upcoming Holy Week, times when Cancún experiences a significant increase in visitors.
