The Cancun police department successfully rescued a kidnapped individual after a high-speed pursuit. The officers engaged in a risky car chase through the city streets, following a vehicle believed to contain the suspected kidnappers. The operation was a joint effort, coordinated with security forces from all three levels of government.

The Quintana Roo Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) stated that after the chase, one person was rescued and two others were apprehended. This action followed a report of an illegal detention in the Benito Juarez area. The incident occurred in Supermanzana 216, where emergency services were alerted to the unlawful confinement of an individual.

Upon receiving the alert, the SSC activated the Red Code, an emergency protocol involving multiple security agencies. A search and location operation was immediately launched, utilizing the C5 video surveillance system. The quick coordination and use of the C5 cameras led to the successful location of the alleged criminals.

In Supermanzana 107, security forces apprehended the two suspects using a strategic operation. The suspects were then handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation.

The SSC urges the public to stay updated through its official social media channels, where more details about this case and ongoing security measures will be shared. They emphasized the importance of community cooperation in ensuring safety in Benito Juarez and across Quintana Roo.
