Residents of Cancun have until 23:59 on November 22 to vote and comment on the implementation of the 2025 participatory budget. The city's mayor, Ana Patricia Peralta de la Peña, announced this, encouraging more citizens to get involved in improving the city.

There will be an opportunity for in-person voting on November 22 at the Reform Plaza of the Municipal Palace. The mayor also revealed that the 2024 Participatory Budget Program, set to be implemented in 2025, has a total budget of 33 million 765 thousand 586 pesos. This budget will be equally distributed across the city's seven zones.

Project proposals can be viewed by zone on the official website presupuestoparticipativo.cancun.gob.mx. These proposals range from constructing a dog park, building a playroom next to the "Lic. Erick Paolo Martínez" Library, paving Av. Politecnico Nacional, constructing elevated pedestrian crosswalks, installing traffic lights, to digging river wells.

To vote, residents must register on the project's official website with their full name, home superblock, cell phone, CURP, and the official identification code issued by the INE. They must also accept the privacy notice.

The mayor added that the seven winning projects will be announced through official channels within 10 business days following the voting stage.
