Cancun Travel Mart 2024, a major platform for tourism, was recently inaugurated by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa. The governor underscored the significance of this event in driving tourism success and fostering shared prosperity for the residents of Quintana Roo.
The event is set to feature 163 companies from 23 different countries. It will host a variety of seminars, workshops, and sustainability activities aimed at promoting the 12 tourist destinations within Quintana Roo. Lezama Espinosa highlighted the crucial role of local residents in attracting tourists through their warmth and hospitality.
Scheduled to run for three days, the Cancun Travel Mart 2024 provides a unique opportunity to establish commercial ties that will benefit the region. Josefina Rodríguez, the Secretary of Tourism, emphasized the importance of this event in boosting tourism in the region. She also highlighted Mexico's upcoming participation in FITUR 2025, which will be the country's largest exhibition to date.
In a bid to support environmental sustainability, this year's edition of the Cancun Travel Mart will be a carbon-neutral event. This will be achieved through a comprehensive compensation program, further illustrating the event's commitment to sustainable practices.
