The 'Dr. Enrique Barocio' public library in Cancún has reopened after undergoing extensive renovations. Cancún's governor, Mara Lezama Espinosa, presided over the reopening ceremony. The library has been upgraded with new perimeter fencing, waterproofing, ceiling, and lighting.

The library aims to serve as a community hub, hosting events, conferences, and exhibitions to encourage community engagement and the exchange of ideas. It's envisioned as a gathering place for students, professionals, researchers, and book enthusiasts, promoting networking and mutual enrichment.

Governor Lezama emphasized the reopening as an example of her government's commitment to social justice. She stated, "This is the inclusion and shared prosperity we are achieving by closing the gaps of inequality, exclusion, and the considerable neglect we continually found since we came to power."

In related news, He-Zaba street, the main access route to the Eduard Huet Multiple Care Center, has officially opened to traffic. The street has been enhanced with new curbs, sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, signage, and lighting. It also features universally accessible sidewalks.

The improvements ensure the inclusion, free transit, and mobility of all people who circulate there. The street also provides improved facilities for the students of the Leona Vicario Industrial and Service Technological Baccalaureate Center (CBTIS 111), the Moisés Sáenz Garza Technical High School, and the National College of Professional Technical Education (Conalep).
