Abigail Elías Buces, a candidate for the municipal presidency of Cozumel, is advocating for the establishment of a registry for stray and domestic animals. This proposal forms a part of her campaign platform.

The primary objective of this initiative is to maintain an accurate count of the number of dogs, cats, and other domestic species residing in Cozumel.
