A low-pressure area in the southwest of the Caribbean Sea has seen a 70% increase in the likelihood of cyclonic development within the next 48 hours. Over the next week, this probability rises to 80%. As per the National Water Commission (Conagua), the weather phenomenon is situated approximately 1,080 kilometers southeast of Puerto Costa Maya and is moving northward.
Simultaneously, another low-pressure area north of Puerto Rico has a 10% chance of cyclonic development within the next 48 hours and over the next week. This area is located roughly 1,990 kilometers east of Cancun.
Governor Mara Lezama has urged residents to stay updated on this meteorological event through official media channels.
