Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde has officially opened the Christmas Park in the Continental Zone. This initiative aims to foster unity and joy during the festive season. The park, located at Plaza Ejidatarios, was inaugurated with a grand Lighting Ceremony, led by the mayor herself.

Families from Ciudad Mujeres joined the mayor for the event, which is part of the broader "Christmas with the People" program. The opening ceremony was filled with a variety of family-friendly activities. Attendees enjoyed face painting, Christmas dances, photo opportunities with Santa Claus, and themed villages that added to the magical and festive atmosphere of the evening.

The "Christmas with the People" program is a testament to the Municipality of Isla Mujeres's commitment to the families of Ciudad Mujeres. It aims to promote unity and well-being while strengthening social ties within the community.

The mayor was joined by several other local officials at the event, including Gaspar Kumul Ay, the Government representative in the Continental Zone; José Inés Aguilar Rodríguez, municipal trustee; and councilors Isla del Mar Magaña López, Opalina Flores González, and Jesús Orlando Silva Koh.
