Shocking: Vehicles Set Ablaze in Cozumel Taxistas Neighborhood

During a routine crime prevention patrol, Cozumel municipal police received a report of a potential vehicle fire. The incident took place around 3:55 am on May 7th, at an address on 85th street, between 35 a and 35 in the Taxistas neighborhood.

Upon arrival, officers observed two taxi vehicles with varying degrees of fire damage. Firefighters were already on the scene, having successfully contained the fire. The police then cordoned off the area and notified the State Attorney General's Office.

The vehicle owners suggested that the fire may have been intentionally set. As a result, the officers remained at the scene until the Investigation Police arrived to take over. The officers continued to secure the scene until the investigation was completed.
